Publication details
Warne, MstJ, Batley, GE, van Dam, RA, Chapman, JC, Fox, DR, Hickey, CW, Stauber, JL and Fisher, R 2025
The current method for deriving water quality guideline values for metal, non metallic inorganic and organic toxicants in Australia and New Zealand. This report was prepared by the listed co-authors under the coordination of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
This report replaces Warne et al. (2018).
The data quality assessment and data entry spreadsheets that accompany the derivation method can also be downloaded from this page:
- The data quality assessment spreadsheet is used to assess the quality of toxicity data for use in the derivation of water quality guideline values for toxicants, in accordance with the Warne et al. (2025) method.
- The data entry spreadsheet is used to enter toxicity data (and associated supporting data) that have passed the quality assessment process, to help select a single toxicity value for each species that is represented.
